LANDT FARMS Sporting Clays
LANDT FARMS Sporting Clays is a family owned and operated shooting facility. Ellwood Landt started the sporting clays about 10 years ago. At the beginning of 2003 he retired from operating the course and handed the reins over to his daughter, Sally A. Scott; her husband, George F. Tippner runs and maintains the course and sets the targets. LANDT FARMS Sporting Clays operates 5 days a week by appointment (Wednesday through Sunday), year-round to provide sporting clays and five stand shooting, plus our clubhouse and pavilion make a great location to schedule a special group or corporate event. We offer wheelchair accommodations at our five stand, sporting clays course, clubhouse, pavilion, and rest rooms. We feature regular shooting schools through the NSCA, which features top NSCA certified instruction. Instructor levels include: Youth Instructor, Level l. Level ll, and Level lll, and teaches shooters of all ages and skill levels, including women and youth, beginner, intermediate, and advanced shooters. We can also facilitate:
(see "CUSTOM GROUP EVENTS)
Our Goal is to assure that you have an enjoyable and safe experience in our pleasant shooting environment! CUSTOM GROUP EVENTS We can customize your corporate shooting event, from easy pop up targets to challenging championship targets. Businesses use our facility to help build team spirit, just to say "thanks" to their employees, or to build trust and friendship in a way that is fun, enjoyable and rewarding. Businesses large and small, locally or nationally have been here with us, they all have had big smiles on their faces and tell us so with a big "thank you". Businesses have a special relationship with their employees and they want to keep that trust and commitment, by having a fun shoot helps to keep that bond. We also have been involved with fund raising and benefit shoots for several years. We facilitate several fund raising and benefit shoots each year. Some of the events are held annually and are scheduled a year in advance. Some of the fund raising is for local charities and some are national. Everyone is eager to help to contribute to that special cause or need, shooting sporting clays is one way to put smiles and happy hearts into a fun event that is rewarding. Custom events require special attention, we have guns to rent, ammo for sale, gun carts for rent, we also have certified shooting instructors. We can set the targets to how you would like them. We can help your clients with gun fit or special instructional coaching. Our clubhouse and pavilion make a great location to schedule a special group or corporate event. With our pavilion you have use of the the facility which includes a barbeque and several picnic tables. You can barbeque your own food or we can do it for you; or have your food catered by us or by someone else We are willing to work with you on your special event, something you don't see-ask, just give us a call.
SHOOTING SCHOOLS
Landt Farms offers scheduled shooting instruction provided by qualified NSCA instructors. Shooters may attend either a one-day or two-day clinic on the below dates. Additional dates may be set at a future time. For current information, contact Landt Farms . Is your shooting a little rusty? Bagging fewer birds than you'd like? Sign up for one of the special shooting clinics. The School accommodates all skill levels of shooters, from beginner to experienced. Women and youngsters are encouraged to attend; all beginners are made to feel welcome. New shooters learn correct shooting technique before development of bad habits begins. Instruction is individual and based on the shooter's experience level. Calm, qualified and attentive instructors makes the school fun, relaxed and non-intimidating. When you are having fun we are having fun. we have been there and have learned through others mistakes, so that your shooting and learning experience is a positive and rewarding experience. Shooters shoot at a variety of targets. Beginners learn range and field shooting etiquette, and basic wing shooting skills. Experienced shooters hone skills for clays or hunting. Spend a fun-filled day on Landt Farms five-stand and sporting clays course.
"The Pier" Built sturdy and strong, it gives a shooter the opportunity to shoot down on targets. Stands 70 feet from the top of the hill, 5 foot wide and stands at 21 foot from the shooters' feet to the ground. Click on Thumb Nail
And we would like to introduce "G.U.S." an acronym for "Geared Up Shooter" Gus was built from gears and drive lines for prototype fork trucks and assembled by Brian Scott, Sally's son. Click on Thumb Nail
"The Tree Stand", finished in time for the Gene Harder Memorial Shoot. This new stand is built amongst the surrounding trees. It stands 10 off of the ground, able to have 2 shooters-shoot at the same time. There is a manual trap below that swivels and the trap machine can also pivot up and down. This is "trapper's choice", the trap throws targets, standards, midi's, and minis right side up, upside down and every which way to challenge all shooters and giving shooters a wide variety of target presentations. We think you'll enjoy this and have lots of fun.

We have had guests from around the world ( Japan, France, Britain, Mexico, Taiwan-to name a few) joining us in shooting for their very first time and in handling a shotgun for their very first time and some others are "old timers" at this game. It feels good to see the smiling faces of the shooters breaking sporting clays and watching their targets break in mid air as their shot penetrates the clays More and more people are experiencing the rewarding nature of sporting clays here at Landt Farms, its a time to be outdoors for a walk in the open fields and amongst the trees, fresh air in your face, friendly people, and learning a sport that is both challenging and rewarding.
